Description of Volunteers Needed
Transporation (van or pick-up needed)
- Weekly food supply pick-up
- Pick up miscellaneous donations as needed
- Shopping for specific food items
Mailings – Periodically
Maintenance Work on trailer – repairs, painting, etc, as needed
Coordination Assistants for Health Fairs, Back to School Drives, Toy Drives and any upcoming events.
Thanksgiving Food Distribution
- Nov.15-Nov.18 We need volunteers to pick up turkeys in the valley
- November 21 – Thanksgiving setup
- Sort and pack food baskets 9 a.m. to 12 noon
- Nov. 22 – 23 Thanksgiving distribution
Christmas Toy Distribution Preparations
- Coordination Assistants for children’s activities (Need entertainment for children i.e. face painting, sports, crafts, balloons, artists, artists, clowns, elves and a Santa)
- October: Send out solicitation letters for Toy Distribution
- November: Make follow-up calls on solicitation letters,
- Late November: Deliver collection boxes and posters per requests
- Shop for bags, wrapping paper, scissors, etc
- Dec. 14-15: Volunteers to collect donations
- Dec. 16: Room organization and final setup of toy display
- Dec 16: Shop for toys still needed
