DESCRIPTION OF VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

1.       Monday-Friday, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

A. Help in the food pantry   B. Help in the clothing area

C. Help with light cleaning of Family Rescue’s office (Choose your day)

2.      Transportation (Van or pick-up needed)

Weekly food supply pick-up from WVFP

Pick-up miscellaneous donations, as needed

Shopping for specific food items

3.      Database work -you need to be familiar with ACT Contact   Management                2-3 hours weekly

4.      Mailings – periodically

5.      Maintenance work on trailer – repairs, painting, etc. as needed

6.      Coordination Assistants for Health Fairs, Back to School Drives, Toy Drives and any upcoming events

7.      Thanksgiving Food Distribution Set up-

Nov.17-Nov.22   We need volunteers to pick up turkeys throughout the Valley

Monday, November 23

We need drivers to pick up food at Bel Air Presbyterian Church at 8 a.m.

Sort and pack food baskets 9 a.m. to 12 noon

8.      Christmas Toy Distribution Preparations: We need entertainment for the Children!!

**Face painting, lead kids in singing, sports, crafts, balloon makers, Elves, clowns & artists-  bi-lingual is very helpful but not necessary

October: Send out solicitation letters for Christmas Toy Distribution

November: Make follow-up calls on solicitation letters

Deliver collection boxes and posters per requests in late November

Shop for bags, wrapping paper, scissors, tapes, etc as needed

Dec. 15-18 We need volunteers to collect donations

Dec. 17-18 Assemble area for distribution and sort toys

Dec. 18 Shop for toys still needed – Final set-up of toy display and room organization
